ATLANTA, GA.--Freshman righthander Dan Hudson (Virginia Beach,VA.) scattered five hits over eight innings as Old Dominion defeated Georgia State, 6-2.ODU is now 22-3 overall and 6-0 in the CAA. The Monarchs sweep their second straightCAA series and have won 11 straight games. This is the best start since 1994. The 22 wins already equal the total of victories all last season.

Chris Keenan (Chesapeake, VA.) and Dana Arrowood (Woodbridge, VA.) knocked in two runs each on the day, while Mike Zahm (Omaha, NE.) had three hits,scored twice and knocked in a run.

Arrowood's sacrifice fly brought home Keenan in the first inning. In the third,Zahm doubled home Miles and, Arrowood singled in Zahm. In the sixth Keenan singledhome Keith Hahn (Vallley Stream, NY.) and Patrick Nichols (Chesapeake, VA.)

The Panthers broke up Hudson's shutout in the ninth as Charlie Pelt hit a two-runhomer. ODU returns to action on Tuesday with a game at the University of Richmond,Beginning at 2:30.
