Chat live with women's head coach Wendy Larry and senior guard Lawona Davis, Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 2:30 p.m. Send in your questions about the season, the CAA and women's basketball in general.

Head Coach Wendy Larry is ODU's all-time winningest coach with over425 wins at ODU and over 475 overall victories in 19 seasons of coaching.She has been the recipient of eight Conference Coach of the Year awards from three different leagues and was the 1997 national coach of the year after leading the Lady Monarchs to the NCAA Championship game. Larry is a 1997 graduate of ODU.

Senior guard Lawona Davis is from Port St. Lucie Florida. The 5-11 guardcurrently leads the Lady Monarchs in both scoring and rebounds. Last year, she was named second team All-CAA and to the CAA All-Defensive squad and All-Tournament team. She is majoring in recreational tourism studies.

Latasha Va beach: You know I come to see yall play all of the time. What goals do you wish to accomplish this year with the young Team that you have. You all have so much heart.
Wendy Larry: Thank you for supporting usLatasha. Every year we tryto defend our conference titleand therefore invite ourselvesto the NCAA tournament. Thisyear is no different in thatrespect.
portsmouth: dear coach can you talk about the play of freshman pg jazzim walters
Wendy Larry: Jazzmin is a work in progress.Everyday she gets more comfortable in our system.She is still learning the difference between division Icollege ball and high schoolbasketball. The more she learns the quicker her feetbecome.

Phil: Wendy,

Why do you think there are notmore women as head coaches in theWNBA?

Wendy Larry: I truly believe that when theleague was looking initiallyfor coaches, the security atthat level was not very impressive. An therefore anumber of Div. I coaches wereunwilling to leave a long termcontract for a one year contrac t in the WNBA. Now its becomea trend in the league to hireformer NBA players.

Joan: Wendy,

What do you think are some keyissues that are confronting women'sbasketball?

Wendy Larry: Attendance always becomes apriorty, especially studentattendance.
Mrs. Horvath -- PSL, FL: No question. Lawona,I just want to let you know I've been following you for the last 3 seasons (4 this year). Boy, you know how to make a teacher PROUD! Keep it up kid!

Ashley/Virginia Beach: Lawonna I love your leaping ability. As a senior, what are your goals for this season and what are your plans after the season.

Coach Larry, I hope to be a manager for you in a couple of years after I get my associates at TCC

Wendy Larry: WENDY, Thank you and weare always looking for goodmanagers.LAWONA, Our plans for thisseason is to defend ourCAA crown, graduate and advance into the NCAA tournament as well a go asdeep into the tournament aswe can. Talk up the NCAAfirst and second round thatwe are hosting.

Lawona Davis: Hopefully I will have a lot morememories, but thus far lastyears CAA championship gameagainst Delaware stands out.

Wendy Larry: Happy HOlidays to you to.Our basketball operations director wears many hats. Sheis responsible for the live logof everyone of our games. Sheis vested in our travel andshe is my administrative assistant in every way possible.
Will (Suffolk): Lawona,Lady Monarch fans are so proud ofyou. What has been the biggest difference for you in terms ofacademics and basketball between highschool and college?
Wendy Larry: Time management and prioritising and staying focuson the task at hand. In termsof basketball, understandingmy role as a leader and goingout and playing hard as muchas possible.

Where are Mery Andrade and LucienneBerthieu? Did they play overseas?Thanks and good luck this year.

Wendy Larry: Thanks to you and happyHolidays. Lucienne is in Francewith her new husband, andMary lives in Italy. Both arestill active players.
Jonathan (Norfolk): Wendy.Angela Brown did a very nice jobon TV last year. Is she lookingto get into the communicationsfield?
Wendy Larry: Yes,I I believe she would like todo that after graduation.
jimmy(chesapeake): How is the team adjuting to the new tough shedule and the lost of key player tiffany green. and other injuries. and will the schedule be even tougher next year.
Wendy Larry: We are constantly workingdaily to compensate for theloss of two potential startingfront line players. I think ourdifficult schedule provides usan opportunity every time wetake the floor to see how muchwe can improve as a team. Forthe most part, the schedulewe play this year will be as touch next year. Many of theteams we are playing on theroad, will come to ODU, andmany of the home games willbe on the road.

What is Nyree Roberts doing now?

Wendy Larry: Nyree is still playing over inEurope.
Paula (Williamsburg, VA.): Wendy,It was great to see Tracy comebackand get her jersey retired. What isshe doing now.
Wendy Larry: Tracy lives in New Haven, CT,with her handsomeson Jerrell. Whe works for theNew Haven Parks and Recreation Department. Itwas great to have her backfor the jersey retirement.
Kasey (Virginia Beach): What is one school you would love to see on your schedule that we haven't face in awhile and why?
Wendy Larry: UCLA or Southern Cal, justbecause of the ability to haveexposure on both coasts. Upuntil this year I would have said Duke, but we have alreadysecured them on our schedule.
cj (norfolk): whats the status on Angie's shoulder? how soon will she be back?
Wendy Larry: She had an MRI this pastFriday which was fortunatelynegative. And she is practicingabout 50 percent .
