RICHMOND, Va. - The tournament field for the 2005 CAA field hockey championship is set, and the six-team playoff will be held Nov. 4-6 in Norfolk, Va.
After completing the season with a perfect 8-0 conference record, Old Dominion will host the tournament and receive a first-round bye. Northeastern finished with a 6-2 mark to gain the other bye with the second seed.
Hofstra and James Madison tied for third place at 5-3, but the Pride defeated the Dukes on Friday 3-1 to win the head-to-head tiebreaker for the # 3 seed.
William & Mary solidified its #5 playoff spot with a 4-0 shutout of Towson on Friday, and the Tigers bounced back on Sunday to defeat Drexel 2-1 in overtime to shore up the final tourney invite.

Friday, Nov. 4
#4 James Madison vs. #5 William & Mary - 12:00 p.m.
#3 Hofstra vs. #6 Towson - 2:30 p.m.
Semifinals - Saturday, Nov. 5
#1 Old Dominion vs. JMU/W&M - 12:00 p.m.
#2 Northeastern vs. Hofstra/Towson - 2:30 p.m.
Championship - Sunday, Nov. 6 - 1:00 p.m.
