NORFOLK, Va. (AP) - Alex Loughton had 16 of his 21 points in the first halfand grabbed 12 rebounds and Arnaud Dahi scored 20 Monday night as Old Dominiongot back to its winning ways with an 86-72 victory against Drexel.
The Monarchs (19-3, 9-1 Colonial Athletic Association), coming off a 75-71loss at Virginia Commonwealth on Saturday, led 44-31 at halftime after scoring21 of the last 30 first-half points, then had to rally after blowing its leadin the second half.
Drexel (10-8, 6-4) opened the second half on a 15-2 run to pull even at 46all, but the Dragon immediately allowed a 20-6 Monarchs run that put the gameout of reach. The Dragons were led by Sean Brooks with 18 points and JeremiahKing with 17.
Kiah Thomas added a career-best 17 points for Old Dominion, while DrewWilliamson had six assists and six of the Monarchs' 14 steals. Dahi blockedthree shots.
Old Dominion forced 19 turnovers and outrebounded the Dragons 45-33.
