Old Dominion Tops Towson, 65-56

TOWSON, Md. (AP) - Arnaud Dahi had a career high 20 points and eight rebounds, and OldDominion went on a 9-0 run to close out a 65-56 victory over Towson onWednesday.

Kiah Thomas added 15 points for the Monarchs (14-2, 4-0 Colonial AthleticAssociation), who won their third straight and 10th of 11.

The Tigers (4-10, 1-3) trailed by 12 at halftime, but came back to take a54-51 lead with 5:15 remaining. Mike Green hit a jumper to tie the game at 56with 3:28 left, but ODU held Towson scoreless for the rest of the game. TheTigers missed their final nine shots.

Alex Loughton put it up to four on a jummper, then Kiah Thomashit a trey with 1:08 left to give ODU a 63-56 lead. Drew Williamsonhit two free throws with 24 seconds left to complete the scoring.

The Monarchs blocked eight shots, forced 15 turnovers and held the Tigers to35.1 percent shooting.ODU committed only one turnover in the entiresecond half.

Jonathan Pease led Towson with 16 points, 14 of them in the second half.Cantrell Fletcher scored 15, and Mike Green had 10 points and nine assists.Holden Plack had a game-high 11 rebounds.

The Monarchs host George Mason Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. inthe Ted Constant Convocation Center. The game will be televisedlive by ComCast Sportsnet.
