The Monarchs (5-1) open CAA play Saturday night againstthe Tribe of William and Mary (3-2). Game time is 7 p.m. in the ConstantCenter. ODU defeated VMI, 86-38 Wednesday night and are off to their best start since the 1998-99 season. The two teams split games last year.
THIS DAY IN ODU HOOP HISTORY
Dec. 4, 1996 Two-time CAA Player of the Year and Tournament MVP OdellHodge scored 24 points with nine rebounds to lead ODU to a 67-57 victoryover the Huskies of the University of Washington in Scope.
LAST GAME
ODU defeats VMI, 86-38. This is the ninth largest margin of victory in school history. Arnaud Dahi scored 18 points with 11 rebounds, while Alex Loughton added 17 points with ten boards. John Morris scored 12, Kiah Thomas 13 and Brian Henderson 11. ODU shot .547 from the floor and forced the Keydets into 26 turnovers. VMI scored only 15 points in the second half.
