CORPUS CHRISTI, TX--The Old Dominion University Monarchs (4-0) remained undefeated with a 99-54 victory over Shawnee State (Portsmouth, Ohio) Saturday in the third round of the Corpus Christi Challenge. Five players scoredin double figures for ODU who will now play host Texas A&M Corpus ChristiSunday night for the championship at 6 p.m. ODU is the only unbeatenteam in the field.
Sophomore Arnaud Dahi tied a career high with 15 points and hauled inSeven rebounds. Isaiah Hunter and freshman Sam Harris each had 14 points,a career high for Harris who also blocked two shots. Alex Loughton and seniorKiah Thomas scored ten points each.
The Monarchs shot a blistering .667 (22-33) from the field in the first halfand .534 for the second half. The Monarchs defense forced the Bears into 23 turnovers.all 11 Monarchs who played scored.
Loughton led ODU with eight rebounds, while Dahi hauled in seven. ODUalso dished out 24 assists, led by Drew Williamson and freshman Brandon Johnson.The last time ODU started the season 4-0 was the 1998-99 team which was 6-0to start the season.
