RICHMOND, VA -Old Dominion swimmers Lauren Timby (Rochester, NY) and Nate Tschohl (Chesapeake, VA/Hickory) were named Colonial Athletic Association Co-Performers of the Week in women's and men's swimming, respectively. Timby shares her honor with Towson's Jen Irby, while Tschohl shares his with UNC-Wilmington's Adam Brenneman.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>
Lauren Timby, a sophomore, dominated her distance freestyle events against Delaware and William & Mary over the weekend, taking top honors in the 500 free (5:05.28), the 1650 free (17:39.92) as well as the 200 free (1:55.39).
Nate Tschohl, a junior, took three individual events: the 200 butterfly (1:55.58), the 200 backstroke (1:59.48) and the 200 IM (1:59.97). He was also part of the winning 400 freestyle relay team, helping to lead the Monarchs to victories over Delaware and William & Mary this weekend.
ODU swimming and diving next sees action November 18-20 when they participate in the Maryland Invite in College Park, MD.
