ANNAPOLIS, MD -Charles Higgins (Arlington, TX), a junior on the Old Dominion sailing team, has qualified for the MAISA Championships, held October 9-10, by finishing third in the Navy South Laser Qualifier, held in Annapolis, MD. Higgins finished with 96 points. Also sailing for the Monarchs was David Tunnicliffe (Perrysburg, OH), who finished 6th with 110 points, Tom Lewin (Williamsville, NY), who finished 15th with 160 points and Ben Pongratz (Newport News, VA) who finished 20th with 261 points. Andrew Campbell of Georgetown won the qualifier with 17 points. The top three finishers qualified for next month's championship.
