NORFOLK, VA -The #9 Old Dominion men's soccer team defeated the Davidson Wildcats Saturday night at the ODU Soccer Stadium 2-0 to remain undefeated for the season. Kevon Harris (Kingston, Jamaica) and Kyle Hartley (Virginia Beach, VA/Kempsville) both scored in the Monarch victory. ODU improves to 2-0 for the season, while Davidson falls to 1-1. The Monarchs extend their home unbeaten streak to 18 games.

Kyle Hartley scored early in the first half for the Monarchs, connecting with the goal from a A.J. Kulp (Ephrata, PA) assist at the 8:42 mark of the game. Kulp crossed to Hartley in front of the net. In the second half, Kevon Harris scored an unassisted goal to put ODU 2-0.
John Connelly (Rockville, MD) recorded his second shutout of the season, saving two shots for the night. ODU held a 9-5 shots advantage for the game, while Davidson held the 3-1 corner kicks edge.
The Monarchs will host the annual Stihl Soccer Classic tournament next weekend, taking on Navy Friday, September 10 at 7:00, and meeting Rutgers Sunday afternoon at 2:30.
