NORFOLK, VA. - Old Dominion University athletic director Jim Jarrettannounced today that the contract of Tony Guzzo, head baseball coach, will notbe renewed.
"I want to thank Tony for his contributions and tireless efforts on behalf ofOld Dominion University's baseball program and wish him the best luck in his futureendeavors." (said Jarrett).
Guzzo compiled a 300-252 record at ODU in ten seasons. His overall 26-yearmark is 731-618-2. Through ten seasons, Guzzo guided the Monarchs to two CAAChampionships in 1995 & 1996, and three NCAA Regional appearances in 1995, 1996 and 2000. The Monarchs completed the 2004 season with a 26-28 record.
Old Dominion will begin a national search for Guzzo's replacement immediately.
