NORFOLK, VA-- The Old Dominion University Baseball Monarchs (2-1) open The Citadel/Homewood Suites Shootout Friday at 1 p.m. against West Virginia (0-0). Richmondand host The Citadel (1-0) are also in the tournament.
The Monarchs are scheduled to throw junior righthander James Burok against theMountaineers. Justin Verlander is expected to throw against Richmond on Saturday.
Each of the four teams will play three games in a round-robin type format. TheShootout schedule is as follows:
Friday, Feb. 20ODU vs. West Virginia, 1 p.m.Richmond vs. The Citadel, 5 p.m.
