NORFOLK, VA - The Old Dominion Sailing team finished 5th at the MAISA Sloops with 38 points. The regatta was held at the NY Maritime. Charles Higgins (Arlington, TX), David Tunnicliffe (Perrysburg, OH) and Wade Schon (Millington, NJ) were the ODU sailors. ODU finished 8th at the Hoyt Trophy in Providence, Rhode Island, with 248 points. Bill Berg (Longwood, FL), Rebecca Legge (Yorktown, VA) and Shane Vanstrom (Youngstown, NY) finished 11th in A division with 143 points. Ignacio Saralegui (Montevideo, Uruguay) and Michael Smith (Newport News, VA) finished 4th in B division with 105 points. This weekend, the ODU sailing team competes in the War Memorial in Geneva, NY and hosts the Henry Luce Trophy.
