NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC-- The Old Dominion women's golf team finished their opening day of competition in 36th place at the Bay Tree Classic hosted by the College of Charleston. In the school's first ever event, freshman Jennifer Noble (Va. Beach, VA) posted the best Lady Monarch performance, recording a tie for 102nd place. Freshman Erica Bryk (Atikokan, Ontario) is currently tied for 113th place, sophomore Ashley Davis (Toronto, Ontario) posted a tie for 128th, and sophomore Reinie Vugrinec (Lewes, DE) sits alone at 186.
Coastal Carolina is the leader after the first round of play (296). James Madison and Middle Tennessee State are tied for second (306). College of Charleston finishes the day in fourth place (308). The Lady Monarchs shot 358 as a team. The Lady Monarchs will begin the second round of the three-day event Saturday.
