Old Dominion women sailors Corrie Clement (Metarie, LA) and Anna Tunnicliffe (Perrysburg, OH) earned Ronstan All-American honors for the 2002-03 season as announced by the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) on Thursday. Senior Debbie Capozzi (Bayport, NY) was named an Honorable Mention All-American.

Clement was also awarded the 2003 Quantum Female College Sailor of the Year honor. The award is annually given to the top female skipper who has compiled the best overall record for the academic year in the ICSA North American Women's Singlehanded and Dinghy Championship and the respective district Championships. She won the MAISA Singlehanded Championship and advanced to nationals where she finished fifth. The senior beat out nine other finalists, including teammate Anna Tunnicliffe, and is the first Lady Monarch to win the honor. Clement finished her Old Dominion career as a three-time All-American after reaching that status as a sophomore, junior and senior.

Tunnicliffe, a sophomore, earned her first All-American honor this season after winning the 2002 ICSA Women's Singlehanded North American Championship in November. She was also a finalist for the Quantum award after finishing third in the MAISA district in both the Singlehanded Championship and the Dinghy Championship.

Capozzi, also a senior, makes her first appearance as an All-American this year, earning honorable mention honors. She helped lead ODU to wins in the Navy Women's Spring Intersectional and Stu Nelson Trophy this past season. Clement, Tunnicliffe and Capozzi were all members of the team that won the 2002 ICSA Women's North American Championship for Old Dominion in Honolulu, HI last June.

The Old Dominion women's sailing team finished the 2002-03 campaign on Wednesday with a third-place showing at the 2003 ICSA Women's North American Championship. ODU has won 13 North American Championships in the history of the program and have had student-athletes earn 85 All-American honors.
