The Old Dominion women's sailing team is in fifth place after day one of the 2003 ICSA Women's North American Championship in Gross Pointe, MI. The Lady Monarchs have compiled 69 points after 10 races.
Both the A and B ODU divisions stand in seventh as Corrie Clement and Liz Bower tallied 41 points in six A division races, while Anna Tunnicliffe and Anna Cobb have 28 points after four races in the B division.
Tufts University has grabbed the early lead with 29 points while Dartmouth and top ranked St. Mary's College round out the top three with 46 and 53 points respectively.
The sailing competition will start up again Tuesday morning before concluding on Wednesday.
