CHARLOTTE, NC. - Old Dominion University senior golfer Geoffrey Harris(Reading, England) shot a 71 today to finish one stroke behind Ramon Bescansa of theUniversity of North Carolina in the Birkdale Classic. Harris' two-day total was 138, whileBescansa was aa 137. As a team, ODU placed fifth in the 18-team event.
North Carolina won the tournament with a 573, while the Monarchs shot 591 for the 36holes. Senior Chris Piercy (Reading, England) finished tied for tenth with a 145. ODU returnsto action on March 21-23 in Greenville, SC, for the Furman Intercollegiate.
