Corrie Clement (Metarie, LA) and Anna Tunnicliffe (Perrysburg, OH) finished first and third respectively at the district Women's Championships and now have quailified for the North American Singlehanded Championships.
Clement came in first or second in nine of the 14 races and finished with 46 points, 19 points in front of St. Mary's Jamie Smith. Tunnicliffe totaled 68 points and was in second until the last event. Emily DuPont was fourth and was the only other sailor to qualify.
Old Dominion also participated in the Danmark Trophy at the Coast Guard Academy and Tom Curtis regatta at Georgetown. The team totaled 384 points which put them into 15th place at the Danmark event. The A division took 10th while the B division took 16th. At the Tom Curtis ODU came in fourth with 86 points as Georgetown took the win.
