NORFOLK, VA. -- Senior forward Rasheed Wright (Greensboro, NC.) and freshmanIsaiah Hunter (Charlotte, NC.) paced their respective teams in the annual Blue-White scrimmageSaturday afternoon in the new Ted Constant Convocation Center.
Wright scored 21 points and dished out three assists for the Blue squad, while Hunterled the White squad with 15 points, and four assists. The Blue squad won the game, 53-44.
Ricardo Marsh (Mebane, NC.) added ten points for the Blue team, while 6-9 freshmanAlex Loughton (Perth Australia) scored 13 points (5 for the white team and 8 for the blue).
"It is always tough playing yourself," said Blaine Taylor. "We started with the veteransagainst the sophomore's and freshmen, then in the second half went with a mixture of youngand old. I was pleased with a lot of things, but can't wait to get back to work.."
Added Rasheed Wright, "I thought we had two pretty competitive sessions. As a senior,I am so excited to be playing in this new building. I just love this place and can't wait for theregular season."
The Monarchs return to action on Monday, Nov. 4 when they host E.A. Sports in anexhibition game.
