FORD SECOND AT MAISA QUALIFYING REGATTA AFTER TEN RACES
ANNAPOLIS, MD - Senior Neil Ford (St. John's, VI) is in second place after ten races in the MAISA Laser Qualifier at the U.S. Naval Academy. He is seven points behind the leader,Stephen Gay of Navy. The top three will qualify for the MAISA Singlehanded DistrictChampionships later this fall.
Ford has 32 points, four points ahead of Charles Fulmer of Navy. ODU junior JackKerr (Seattle, WA.) is in fourth place with 44 points and sophomore Bill Berg (Longwood, FL.)is in eighth with 75 points.

MONARCHS FOURTH AT MAISA SLOOP CHAMPIONSHIPS
ANNAPOLIS, MD. - The Old Dominion University sailors are fourth afterseven races in the MAISA Sloop Championships at the U.S. Naval Academy. ODU has31 points, just one behind third place St. Mary's (MD.).
Hobart-William Smith leads the regatta after seven races with 18 points, Navy issecond with 24. Sailing for ODU in "A" division is Charles Higgins (Arlington, TX.),Anna Tunnicliffe (Perrysburg, OH.), and Liz Bower (Fairport, NY.).
