ANNAPOLIS, MD.-- The top-ranked Old Dominion University women'ssailors are in second place, just six points behind Hobart-William Smith at theMAISA District Sailing Championships.
Hobart William Smith has 33 points, Old Dominion is second with 39 pointsand St. Mary's is in third with 47 points in the ten team regional. The Lady MonarchsA-Division boat is in second and sailed by Sally Barkow (Nashotah, WI.) and Cara Gibbons-Neff(Annapolis, Md.), The B-Division boat is in first and sailed by Corrie Clements (Metarie, La.)and Liz Bower (Fairport, NY.). Final day of sailing will be Sunday.
MONARCH FRESHMEN SAILORS LEAD MAISA DISTRICTS
NORFOLK, VA. - The Old Dominion University freshmen sailors are infirst place after six races in the MAISA District Freshmen Championships. TheMonarchs lead Hobart-William Smith by eight points in the 11 team field.
Anna Tunnicliffe (Perrysburg, OH.),and Bill Berg (Longwod, Fl.) Sailedfor the Monarchs. Tunnicliffe had three first place finishes in A division, while Berg had two firsts in the B division boat. The district regatta completes competition onSunday at the Old Dominion University Sailing Center.
