WASHINGTON, DC. -- Sophomore Attila Vendegh (Bratislava, Slovakia)assisted on two goals to lead the Monarchs of Old Dominion University to a 2-1victory over Georgetown Tuesday afternoon. The Monarchs have now won fivestraight to improve their record to 5-3, while the Hoyas are now 4-4-1.
Freshman Kevon Harris (Kingston, Jamaica) scored the first goal 1in the first14 minutes of the match on an assist from Vendegh. Early in the second half, MichaelTooley (Richmond, Va.), the CAA Player of the Week put the Monarchs up 2-0 onVendegh's second assist of the game. Nate Port scored the Hoyas lone goal nineminutes later.
Vendegh, the leading scorer in the CAA and the South Atlantic Region hasten goals, four assists for 24 points in eight matches. The Monarchs, who are now2-0 against the BIG EAST host William and Mary Saturday night at 7 p.m.
