Old Dominion freshman forward Bea Gugliotti (Avon, CT) knocked in the only score of the game in double overtime as the Lady Monarchs picked up a preseason win against St. Joe's.
The Lady Monarchs rolled up a 21-4 shot advantage, but had a hard time beating St. Joe's goalkeepers Christy Ganc (Hockessin, DE) and Aleshia Kornecki (Deptford, NJ), who collected 15 saves between them.
Old Dominion will travel to East Carolina on Saturday for their final preseason game. The Lady Monarchs will then open the regular season on the road at UNC-Greensboro on Friday, August 31.
