MONARCH SAILORS HOLD SIXTH PLACE AT ICSA TEAM RACE
Boston, MA-The Old Dominion coed team is currently holding sixth place after two days of competition at the 2001 ICSA/ Ronstan Team Race Championship in Boston, MA.
After going 3-3 in six races on day one, the Monarchs advanced into the championship division today, along with Georgetown, Dartmouth, Harvard, Charleston and Hawaii. Old Dominion is currently 8-8 after 16 races. Georgetown leads the field with a 15-1 record.
Sailing for the Monarchs are the teams of Justin Castagne (Maraval, Trinidad)/ Liz Bower (Fairport, NY)/ Jack Kerr (Seattle, WA), Adam Burns (Youngstown, NY)/ Lis Biondi (Norwalk, CT)/ Debbie Capozzi (Bayport, NY) and Brad Funk (Harbor Bluffs, FL)/ Emily Ruiter (Freehold, NJ).
Competition for the team race title will wrap up tomorrow. The Monarchs will also compete in the ICSA Dinghy Championships, June 6-8 at the University of Rhode Island.
