Norfolk, Va. -- 15th-ranked Old Dominion University fell totenth-ranked CAA foe William and Mary, 12-8, Wednesday afternoon atForeman Field on the Old Dominion campus. With the loss, the LadyMonarchs fall to 7-5 overall (3-3 CAA). The Tribe improves to 5-4overall (2-1 CAA).
Old Dominion found itself down 4-3 at halftime, but rallied tostart the second half with three unanswered goals. Sophomore SuzanneWosczyna (Phoenixville, Pa.) led the second half surge with two goalswithin the first three minutes of play. Despite leading 8-6 withjust under 17 minutes to play, the Lady Monarchs surrendered sixgoals in the last eight minutes for the Tribe win.
Lindsey Lowman, Julie Scurachio, and Tara Hannaford each hadthree goals for William and Mary.
Old Dominion hosts Boston University Sunday at 1 pm in thelacrosse scholarship game. Proceeds are $5 per ticket and will gothe Old Dominion Intercollegiate Fund for lacrosse.
