Waller Signs With Monarchs

Old Dominion University men's basketball coach Jeff Capel announced that JohnWaller, III, the Capital District Player-of the Year from Richmond, Va. hassigned a letter ofintent with the Monarchs.

Waller, a 6-4 forward from Highland Springs, scored more than 1,100 pointsduring his high school career and set asingle-game scoring record this year when he tossed in 60points against Lee-Davis High School. He averaged 26.4points a game and 8.2 rebounds and earned first team All-Central Region and All-Metro honors.
