CLEMSON, SC (Feb. 18)-- Scott Berney pitched seven shutout inningsto lead the Tigers of Clemson to a 5-0 win over the MonarchsFriday afternoon. ODU is now 2-3-1, Clemson improves to3-1.
Junior all-American candidate Tim Hummel led ODU with twohits in three at bats,including a double.
Berney walked no one and fanned 11 for Clemson, while JeffBaker and Brian Ellis each had two hits. Ellis knocked intwo runs for the Tigers. The two teams play game two of thethree game series on Saturday at 3 p.m.
