Old Dominion's Marina DiGiacomo receives player of the week honors this week after netting four goals in three games, including the overtime game-winner at #6 University of Virginia on Sunday. The Lady Monarchs were 3-0 on the week, improving their season record to 7-3 and 4-0 in the CAA. With the overtime goal, DiGiacomo reached the 200 point mark for her career (76 goals 48 assists). The junior midfield from Mendoza, Argentina/Santa Maria Goretti also netted two goals in the Lady Monarch's 6-0 win over CAA foe Virginia Commonwealth. This week marks DiGiacomo's second time as player of week honoree in 1999; she was the season's first player of the week on September 7.
