Rachelle Bowman

Rachelle joined the ODU staff in 2014 and is currently an assistant athletic trainer.

She is responsible for preventing, evaluating, and treating pre- and post-operative rehabilitation of athletic injuries and illness in the Jim Jarrett Athletic Administration Building, while also communicating and coordinating with orthopedic physicians, primary care physicians, and coaching staff regarding treatment plans and follow-up care. Her primary sport coverage is women's soccer and men's and women's tennis.

Prior to working at Old Dominion, Rachelle served as the assistant athletic trainer at Methodist University (2006-2014) and at Montreat College (2004-2006). Rachelle was also a rehabilitation assistant at Toccoa Clinic Medical Associates from 2002-2004.

Rachelle is currently a member of several athletic training organizations, including the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers Association, the North Carolina Athletic Trainers Association, and the Virginia Athletic Trainers Association.

Rachelle graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine with a concentration in exercise science, then graduating from California University of Pennsylvania in 2012 with a Master of Science of Exercise Science and Health Promotion with a concentration in rehabilitation science.
