Matt Hatfield has been the radio voice of the ODU women’s basketball team since 2021. The Virginia Beach native has also filled in on play-by-play for men’s basketball.
When he’s not following the Monarchs he’s covering high school sports across the Commonwealth. He’s been publisher of VirginiaPreps.com since 2016 and is co-host of “757 Saturday Sports Talk with Coach Ed Young” on Cova Sports which can be seen and heard on YouTube, Apple, Spotify, Facebook, Instagram, VirginiaPreps.com and various other platforms.
Matt has also handled various writing, play-by-play and hosting duties for the likes of ACCSports.com, Big Ten Network plus, Tar Heel Illustrated and ESPN Radio 94.1.
