Jena Virga joined the Old Dominion Athletic Foundation in August, 2010 as the Director of Major Gifts. In October of 2014, Jena was named Senior Associate AD and Assistant VP for Athletic Development. Virga was promoted to her current title of Executive Senior Associate AD for Development in 2021. She was most recently promoted to the position of Executive Director of the ODAF in February of 2022.
She graduated from ODU in 1979 with a degree in Marketing Management and earned her M.B.A. in 1981 while beginning a career in banking.
Prior to her role at the ODAF, Jena was the Development Director of Special Event fundraising at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters in Norfolk.
She is married to Andy and they have two grown sons, Andrew and Sean, and two lab puppies, Mattie and Daisy. Jena enjoys playing golf and tennis and is proud of her USTA 3.0 Women's Tennis National Championship!
