Grace Hunter

Grace Hunter began as an assistant sports performance coach at Old Dominion in June of 2026.
 
Hunter came to ODU after serving as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Purdue University, where she oversaw performance training for the All-Girl and CoEd Cheerleading programs while assisting with softball, diving, women’s soccer, and track sprint athletes. 

Prior to Purdue, Hunter worked as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Northern Illinois University, where she led training sessions for injured football student-athletes. During that time she worked with with football, volleyball, wrestling, softball, basketball, soccer, and cross-country programs.
 
A former Division I women’s basketball student-athlete at Northern Illinois and North Florida. Hunter was a four-time team captain and three-time Academic All-MAC selection.
 
Hunter earned a Master of educational leadership in athletic administration from the University of North Florida and a Master of Science in kinesiology (Exercise Physiology) from Northern Illinois University.
