Derrick Bradford joined the Old Dominion athletics department in August of 2026.
A native of Virginia Beach, Bradford joins Old Dominion from Binghamton University where he served as the Senior Manager of Game Day Experience working with all 21 of Binghamton's teams to elevate the in-game presentation, community engagement and fan experience at all home events.
Prior to Binghamton, Bradford built a diverse background in sales, marketing and client relations. He worked in business-to-business sales with Marqii, helping hospitality and restaurant brands strengthen their digital presence and operational efficiency through innovative technology solutions. He also gained valuable experience in professional sports with the Columbia Fireflies minor league baseball team, where he contributed to sales and marketing efforts focused on fan engagement, sponsorship activation, and revenue generation.
A former NCAA Division II student-athlete, Bradford competed in cross country and track & field at Missouri Western State University. His experience as a collegiate athlete helped shape his passion for sports, leadership, teamwork and creating memorable experiences that connect fans with the programs they support.
Combining his background in athletics, marketing and sales, Bradford brings an energetic, fan-first approach to enhancing the game day experience, driving revenue and advancing the mission of Monarch Athletics.
