Chip Tarkenton is the play-by-play announcer for Old Dominion Women’s Basketball on ESPN+. A graduate of the University of Georgia, his broadcasting career began at the age of 15 and has taken him to radio, television and newspaper stops in Chattanooga, TN, Birmingham, AL, Asheville, NC and Richmond, VA.
Tarkenton’s also worked on football, basketball, golf, baseball, tennis and swimming broadcasts for the likes of ABC, ESPN and Fox Sports South.
Tarkenton, is an Athens, Georgia native. He and his wife, Dee Dee are parents to two grown sons.
