Kimberly Francis, a four-time All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection, and two-time regional All-American is in her sixth season as an assistant coach for the Lady Monarchs.
Francis was selected second team All-ACC four straight years. She is a two-time Soccer Buzz regional All-American, and 2003 NSCAA Regional All-American. A four-year letterwinner, Francis helped lead Maryland to three NCAA appearances, including advancing to the second round in 2002 and third round in 2004.
Francis, a two-time captain at Maryland is the Terps third all-time scorer with 67 points, and sixth all-time goals scorer with 22.
Since graduating from Maryland, she was the starting forward/midfielder with the Washington Freedom which completed the season with an 8-3-0 record in the W-League, scoring six goals with five assists and 17 points. She also played with the Freedom U23 team which won the Region I championship in 2005.
Francis was a member of the US U19 women's national pool, 2001-02 and a six-year Member of Region I regional team. In high school, Francis was a Parade All-American and two-time NSCAA High School All-American at Council Rock High School in Richboro, PA.
A three-time dean's list student and two-year Student Athletic Council Representative at Maryland, Francis graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. She is currently working on her Masters Degree at Old Dominion.
