Jacob Gunther Season 2023-24

2023-24 (JR): Shot a three-under par 213, his best score versus par in his time at ODU, to finish tied for 13th at the Ironwood Classic. He opened the tournament with a three-under 69 for his first round, turned in a one-over 73 in round two, and one-under 71 in round three … He then tied for 19th at Elon’s Phoenix Invitational with a score of 210 (-3). After recording a one-under 70 in the opening round, he followed with a 69 in the second round and added a 71 on the final day … He turned in a four-over 217 to tie for 11th at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate and help the Monarchs to a runner-up finish as a team … Led the Monarchs in the fall with a 71.11 stroke average. 

2022-23 (SO): GCAA All-America Scholar ... Competed in 10 tournaments and played 27 rounds with a stroke average of 75.96 ... Played in his first tournament as a Monarch at the VCU Shootout, tying for 52nd at two-over par 218 as ODU tied for sixth in the team standings ... Recorded five birdies for a final round of two-under 70 at the Georgia State Invitational. He finished tied for 18th at four-over 220 ... Took seventh place at the Donald Ross Classic's individual tournament with a 36-hole total of 12-over 154.

AT BLUEFIELD STATE (2021-22): Featured in seven tournaments as a freshman for the Big Blue with a pair of wins to his name ... Competed in a total of 15 rounds and owned a 74.53 stroke average ... Made his collegiate debut at the Walley Edgell Collegiate Championship in September and tied for fourth at 4-under 140 ... His first win came at the USCAA National Championship with a two-round total of 68-71—139 (-5) ... He posted the exact same score at the Shriner's Hospital Invitational for his second individual medalist finish.
