ODU head men’s basketball Jeff Jones has announced guard Keenan Palmore’s decision to transfer. A native of Stone Mountain, Ga., Palmore recently completed his junior season.

“I would like to thank Keenan for all of his hard work and dedication to this team and University,” said Jones. “He is an outstanding young man and Monarch Nation will definitely miss him.”

2014-15: Nine points with two steals vs. LSU...11 points and nine rebounds in NIT win over Illinois State.... 

2013-14: Scored a career high 24 points vs. Presbyterian...Scored 23 at ECU... 3 steals vs. West Virginia, George Mason, Marshall and Tulsa...Career high 10 rebounds vs. Rice...Seven assists vs. South Dakota State in the CBI Post Season Tournament...One of only two players to start and play in all 36 games...

2012-13:Selected to the CAA All-Rookie Team...17 points at William and Mary...4 Steals vs. Morgan state...9 rebounds vs. Holy Cross & Towson...14 points vs. Delaware...8 assists vs. Towson...Scored 9 games in double-figures...

CAREER: Keenan Palmore averaged 22 points, 10 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.5 steals in 2012 as he earned First Team All-Region, and Second Team All-State...Scored a school record 46 points in a a game against Tech Charter School and finished as the school's all-time scorer...Team compiled a 22-12 record and round of 16 in the State Championships...All time scorer at his High School with over 1,600 career points...

In 2011, he averaged 20.8 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 2.5 assists per game for coach Jo Jo Cadray of Paideia School in Atlanta, GA. Palmore led Team Georgia Elite 17-under squad to the Southern Shootout title and was named tournament MVP as he averaged 19 points per game in the event. His mother, Debra Miller Palmore was a standout basketball player at Boston University. She was selected to the U.S. Olympic team in 1980.

Presented the Headmaster's Award by the principal as the ideal student... Volunteered at the Frazier Day car Center...
