NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Former Old Dominion women's basketball standout Jen Nuzzo has been named an assistant coach at Christopher Newport University under interim head coach Jon Waters.
Nuzzo, who excelled for the Wolverines of Woodside High school both on and off the court, played at Old Dominion from 2004-09. She was a three-time All-CAA Academic All-Conference team member.
After her senior year, Nuzzo was honored with the esteemed Dean Ehlers Leadership award, presented annually to the women's basketball player who "embodies the highest standards of leadership, integrity and sportsmanship in conjunction with her academic athletic achievement."
She started every game in her final year in a Lady Monarch uniform, averaging 6.9 points per game. She finished her MBA with a concentration in Public Administration in May of 2011.
