RADIO: For the 16th-straight season ESPN Radio (1310 am - Norfolk, Va.) will be broadcasting all the Lady Monarch contests. Thirteen-time sportscaster of the Year Tony Mercurio will call all the action. Former Lady Monarch and ODU Hall of Fame inductee, Adrienne Goodson and former assistant coach Susan Montgomery will join Mercurio and add color commentary at all home games at the Ted Constant Convocation Center. A monthly fee of $6.95 through the College Pass program, which also provides the audio and video broadcasts of over 100 colleges and universities, will allow fans to listen to the broadcast online at www.odusports.com.
TELEVISION: Sunday's game vs. Delaware will be televised on both CN8 and WSKY-8 in the Hampton Roads area. Leandra Reilly and Pam Roecker will be on hand to call all the action.

THINK PINK - HOOPS FOR A CURE: The ODU athletic department is encouraging all fans to wear pink to the game to "PINK OUT" the arena. A pre-game Women's Health Fest in the lobby will beginning at noon and survivors are asked to join the Circle of Pink prior to the tip-off where they will circle the arena.
ABOUT OLD DOMINION: The Old Dominion women's basketball team returns home after playing the last three games on the road and enters Sunday's game on a two-game win streak. Last time out, the Lady Monarchs defeated Northeastern, 89-75, behind a career-high 34 point night from junior guard T.J. Jordan. Jordan set new records for three-pointers made and attempted in a game as she went 10-of-22 from downtown replacing Aubrey Eblin's former record of 9-of-16 against UNC-Wilmington on Feb. 17, 1998. The 89 points scored by Old Dominion were also the most netted this season by the team. Jordan was one of three Lady Monarchs in double figures. Joining Jordan were sophomore Tiffany Green with 15 and junior Shahida Williams with 11. Green and senior Sherida Triggs grabbed a team-high seven boards as the Lady Monarch outrebounded the Huskies 49-24. Jordan is the lone Lady Monarch in double figures averaging 15.5 points a game and creeping towards the 1,000 point mark. Among her CAA peers she ranks sixth in scoring. Jordan is second in the country in three-point field goals made averaging 3.2 per game. On the rebounding front, sophomore Tiffany Green leads the squad with 6.5 boards per game and ranking 20th in the league.
LADY MONARCH MOMENTS:
Old Dominion posted a 89-75 victory over Northeastern on Thursday night in their first ever trip to Solomon Court in Boston, Massachusetts.
Junior guard T.J. Jordan netted a career-high 34 points, surpassing her previous high of 28 captured at Delaware on February 11, 2005. It was the most points since Shareese Grant exploded for 35 points in the 2005 CAA Tournament final, an overtime victory over Delaware.
T.J. Jordan also set a new school record for three's made and attempted as she went 10-of-22 from downtown. The previous mark was held by Aubrey Eblin when she went 9-of-16 against UNC-Wilmington on Feb. 17, 1998.
The 89 points scored by Old Dominion were the most netted this season by the team. The Lady Monarchs have reached the 80-point or more mark four times this season (Va. Commonwealth (twice), Drexel, Northeastern).
Following their lone conference loss to James Madison, the he Old Dominion women's basketball team returned to the win column last Sunday by sweeping the season series with the Hofstra Pride in a 69-62 win.
Against Hofstra, junior T.J. Jordan led the Lady Monarchs with 19 points and classmate Megan Pym and senior Sherida Triggs hit crucial jumpers in the closing minute to help the seal the victory. Triggs joined Jordan in the double figure category with 14 points. Triggs and sophomore Tiffany Green both hauled in a team-high six boards.
Sophomore Jazzmin Walters, with five assists last week, cracked the top 10 sophomore assists leaders list. She is currently tied with Amanda Levins (1998-99) with 79 assists in her second year in the ODU uniform in the tenth spot.
ABOUT DELAWARE:The Fightin' Blue Hens enter Sunday's game at the Constant Center with a 20-3 overall mark and 11-1 mark in the CAA. Delaware's losses have come at the hands of No. 25 Bowling Green, Boston College, and James Madison. Since falling to league front runner James Madison, 65-73, on Jan, 25, the Blue Hens have rattled off four consecutive victories including a 76-58 victory at George Mason Thursday night. The Blue Hens are led by 2006 CAA Defender of the Year and preseason first team selection Tyresa Smith. Smith is one of two Blue Hens averaging double figures, entering the game averaging 19.0 points per game to lead the league in scoring. She also leads Delaware on the boards averaging 7.8 rebounds per game, ranking 10th in conference. Smith has led the Blue Hens in scoring in16 of Delaware's 23 games thus far, including the last eight straight. Joining Smith in double figure scoring is Chrissy Fisher. Fisher is pouring in 13.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. She ranks 15th and 13th in the league respectively.
SERIES WITH DELAWARE: Delaware and Old Dominion have created a huge rivalry in the CAA since the Fightin' Blue Hens arrival in the conference in 2001-02. Old Dominion holds an 9-3 all-time record with the Fightin' Blue Hens. Delaware has only won once at the Ted Constant Convocation Center in a game that snapped ODU's 122 CAA home game win streak. The Lady Monarchs won the first three meeting before Delaware picked up its first victory over the Lady Monarchs in 2003 with a 58-50 victory. However, in the rematch, the Lady Monarchs captured their 12th straight CAA title with a 66-58 win in the CAA Tournament championship game. Two seasons ago, durin gthe 2004-05 season, the Blue Hens swept the season series from the Lady Monarchs, however, once again, the Lady Monarchs rebounded by defeating Delaware, 78-74, in the championship game of the CAA Tournament. The game, which gave ODU its 14th consecutive CAA title, went into overtime and was one of the most memorable tournament finales in memory.
LAST TIME VS. DELAWARE: Tish Lyons' clutch free throw in the final seconds the Feb. 19th , 2005 game against Delaware clinched the the win in a 60-57 thriller against the University of Delaware at the Bob Carpenter Center. Leading by two, 54-52, with 31 seconds left in the game, Lyons came up with a huge play as a T.J. Jordan three-pointer was off its mark. The ball landed right into the hands of Lyons, who was right underneath the basket to give Old Dominion a four-point edge. Delaware's Tyresa Smith cut the Blue Hen deficit to two, 56-54, with 23 seconds remaining on the ensuing play. With Old Dominion having possession of the ball, Delaware was forced to foul Lawona Davis. One of the Lady Monarchs' best free throw shooters missed the front end of a one-and-one sending the teams to the floor trying to grab the rebound. The ball went out of bounds back to the Lady Monarchs where the Blue Hens were once again forced to foul. Lyons went to the line and hit both free throws in a one-and-one situation as Old Dominion held on to a 58-54 lead with 18 seconds remaining. The Blue Hens still battled back and Alena Koshanksy got off a three-point attempt. The ball missed its target, but Amanda Blackstone grabbed the rebound and was fouled as she put the ball up and in. She sank her free throw and cut the Old Dominion edge to one, 58-57, with eight seconds left in the game. Once again, with Old Dominion in possession of the ball, Delaware was forced to foul putting Lyons back at the line. With only three seconds remaining, Lyons sank both her free throws to seal the game for the 60-57 Lady Monarch victory. The Blue Hens barely had time left for a desperation heave at the final second that fell way short of its target. Lyons led all scorers with 18 points and going a perfect 5-of-5 from the line. After being held scoreless in the first half, Jordan poured in 14 second-half points. Half number two proved to be a different story as she connected on four of her seven attempts from beyond the arc. Junior Sherida Triggs was also held scoreless in the first half, only to rebound with her fourth double-double of the year. Triggs ended the game with 10 points and 12 boards.

CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOPHOMORE: Sophomore Jazzmin Walters missed this past Thursday's game against Northeastern after suffering a stomach bug and should be ready for the Sunday showdown with Delaware. With Walters' sickness, head coach Wendy Larry used a new line-up for the first time in 12 games. Larry used the line-up of Shahida Williams, Sherida Triggs, Tiffany Green, Tish Lyons, and T.J. Jordan which was last used in a Dec. 17th loss to Charlotte.
SWISH: The Lady Monarchs had their best free throw performance this past Thursday at Northeastern as they went 14-of-16 to finish the night at a 87.5 percent clip. Senior Sherida Triggs led the way going 4-of-4 from the charity stripe as one of five Lady Monarchs to go perfect from the line.
LOOKING AT THE BENCH: Since beginning CAA action on January 4th, the Lady Monarch bench as been producing three times the amount as the opponent bench. Through 11 conference games, ODU's bench has collected 247 points as compared to their opponent's 85. Against Georgia State, ODU outscored the Lady Panther bench, 32-6, and outscored Hofstra's bench 24-4 the following game and 19-1 in the rematch.
FROM DOWNTOWN: Junior guard T.J. Jordan is second in the country in three-point field goals made with 3.3 per game and is 73rd in three-point field goal percentage at .360. She has 955 career points which puts on track to reach 1,000 points in about six games (or so). She has 73 three-point field goals this season and 213 for her career. Aubrey Eblin holds the school record in both categories with 97 treys made during the 1997-98 season and 250 made during her career.
HOME SWEET HOME: Since the doors opened at the Ted Constant Convocation Center in 2002, the Lady Monarchs have enjoyed a 61-12 record.
