HELLO TOP 25: Women's Basketball Ranked 24th In Associated Press Poll

NORFOLK, Va. -- Following wins over two ranked teams (Purdue, Michigan State), wins over conference champions from the Sun Belt (Middle Tennessee) and Conference USA (East Carolina), and starting the season off 6-2 for its best start since the 1999-2000 season, the Old Dominion women's basketball team returned to the Associated Press' Top 25 on Monday.

Old Dominion enters the week ranked at No. 24, the first time the Lady Monarchs have appeared in the AP Poll since the final ranking at the end of the 2001-02 season. That year, Old Dominion finished 15th as they advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.

The Lady Monarchs return to action on Wednesday to tackle to top member of the poll in No. 1 Tennessee. Game time is at 7:00 p.m. and will be aired on Fox Sports South.
