Monarch & Lady Monarch Fans Encouraged To Bring New, Unwrapped Toys To Upcoming Games To Benefit Toys For Tots Marine Corps Reserve

Norfolk, Va. - In keeping with the holiday spirit, Old Dominion University Athletics and Global Spectrum, manager and operator of the Ted Constant Convocation Center, are partnering with the local chapter of Toys For Tots Marine Corps Reserve and WTKR-TV by asking fans to bring a new, unwrapped toy to upcoming basketball games at the Constant Center.

Each fan who brings a new, unwrapped toy to the following games will receive a special discount on adult tickets:

Sun., Dec. 2 at 2 p.m.- Lady Monarchs vs. Michigan State

$5 Adult Ticket (regularly $13)

Sat., Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. - Monarchs vs. UMES

$7 Adult Ticket(regularly $13)

"We're happy to be partnering with Toys For Tots and to share in their spirit by providing local children with gifts during the holiday season," commented ODU Athletic Director Jim Jarrett. "We encourage all Monarch and Lady Monarch fans to support this cause by bringing an unwrapped toy to these games at the Constant Center and our very thankful for their generosity."

The mission of the Toys For Tots Marine Corps Reserve program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute these toys as holiday gifts to needy children in the community.
