MESTRE, Italy -- Junior Tay Ransburg (Kansas City, Mo.) added in her third straight double-double of the Lady Monarchs' overseas trip as the Old Dominion women's basketball team downed Zkd Panter Ilijira of Slovenia, 110-34, in the city of Mestre outside Venice, Italy on Monday afternoon. The victory improved the Lady Monarchs to 3-0 on their trip through France and Italy.

Seven Lady Monarchs reached double digits including Ransburg's game-high 21 points and 11 boards. Senior Sherida Triggs (Norcross, Ga.) followed Ransburg in point totals with 15, while Lawona Davis (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) added in 14. Sophomore Jazzmin Walters (Norfolk, Va.) poured in 12 and senior Shantel Wilson (Washington, D.C.), junior Megan Pym (Newfield, N.Y.), and sophomore Tiffany Green (Chesapeake, Va.) each netted 10 in the win.

In the rebounding department, Green nabbed nine boards and junior Shahida Williams (Newark, N.J.) grabbed eight.

The Lady Monarchs held on to a 27-16 lead after the first 10 minutes of action and then proceeded to hold Zkd Panter Ilijira to single figure scoring in the next three quarters. Old Dominion lead 58-23 at half and 84-30 after three quarters. The opposition was held to just four points in the final quarter.

Head coach Wendy Larry used Ransburg, Walters, Triggs, Williams and senior Tish Lyons (Newport News, Va.). In the second half, Green started instead of Ransburg.

The Lady Monarchs have two more days of sightseeing ahead of them in Verona, Milan, and Lake Como before heading home on Thursday. Their next game will be on Wednesday.
