RADIO: For the 16th-straight season ESPN Radio (1310 am - Norfolk, Va.) will be broadcasting all the Lady Monarch contests. Thirteen-time sportscaster of the Year Tony Mercurio will call all the action. Former Lady Monarch and ODU Hall of Fame inductee, Adrienne Goodson and former assistant coach Susan Montgomery will join Mercurio and add color commentary at all home games at the Ted Constant Convocation Center. A monthly fee of $6.95 through the College Pass program, which also provides the audio and video broadcasts of over 100 colleges and universities, will allow fans to listen to the broadcast online at www.odusports.com.

ABOUT DELAWARE STATE: Today's meeting with the Hornets will mark the first ever between Old Dominion and Delaware State.The Delaware State Hornets enter Saturday's game sporting a 1-1 record. Delaware State opened the season at home with a 72-57 victory over Columbia, but fell in its first road game with a 50-66 setback at Virginia Tech. The Hornets have a pair averaging double figures led by Raquel Collier (12.5 ppg) and Katreem Palmer (12.5 ppg). Palmer also leads Delaware State on the boards grabbing an average of 9.5 rebounds per game.

SO WE MEET FOR THE FIRST TIME:When you look at the Old Dominion Lady Monarch schedule, you can always count on familiar teams such as Tennessee and Rutgers along with various other teams they play on again and off again. Two teams grace this years schedule who the Lady Monarchs have never met. First up is Delaware State on Saturday. Old Dominion will also have its first meeting in school history at home against Chicago State and at Middle Tennessee State.

NOT SEEN VERY OFTEN:In a rare occurance, the opposition outrebounded Old Dominion in its last time out. The East Carolina Pirates held a 45-33 advantage on the boards, which included holding the Lady Monarchs to just seven offensive rebounds. The Lady Monarchs were outrebounded in only nine of its 31 games last year and none by double digits. In six of those occasions, the opponent outboarded Old Dominion by four rebounds or less. Florida International and James Madison, in the first meeting of the year, both held an eight board advantage over Old Dominion, the most of the season.
