NORFOLK, VA--The 8th-ranked Old Dominion University men's soccer team have clinched the top seed in the upcoming CAA tournament, and look to continue their upward momentum as they face the Tribe of William & Mary on the road Friday night at 7:00 p.m. ODU heads into this regular season finale with a 13-2-2 (8-1-1) record. William & Mary enters this tilt with a 4-8-5 (2-3-5).

ODU holds a 15-20-8 all-time record against the Tribe, but defeated them twice in 2004. William & Mary is currently tied for 8th in the conference standings and have been eliminated from participating in the postseason CAA tournament. The Tribe is led by junior forward Jarrett Thomas who has tallied seven goals and 16 points to lead the team in those categories. Freshman midfielder Brock Jones has contributed for the Tribe, notching five goals and 12 points. Assistant coach Chuck Connelly is the older brother of Monarch senior keeper John Connelly (Rockville, MD).

Senior forward Brian Cvilikas (Highlands Ranch, CO) leads the 8th ranked Monarchs into action this weekend. Cvilikas scored two more goals against Towson to raise his conference leading totals to 13 goals and 26 points on the year. For his efforts, Cvilikas was named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week for the second time this season. Freshman midfielder Trevor Banks (Madison, WI) continues to contribute for the team, and ranks second on the team in goals (6) and points (14). Connelly leads the CAA in goals against average (0.59) and has picked up 11 shutouts in 2005. The Trevor McEachron (Woodbridge, VA) and David Horst (Pine Grove, PA) led defense has helped their keeper earn 11 shutouts in 17 games, which ranks the Monarchs 4th nationally in shutout percentage.

ODU returns to action next weekend when they host the CAA Tournament from November 11-13. Game times and opponents will be announced next week.
