NORFOLK, Va. -- Join the Old Dominion University community in celebrating Homecoming Weekend as the Lady Monarch women's basketball team opens up one of its most ambitious schedules in history hosting the Duke Blue Devils in the 2005-06 season opener. The Blue Devils are ranked No. 1 in the Associated Press Poll and No. 2 in the WBCA/ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll.
Festivities will included the Homecoming Parade along Monarch Way on Saturday, November 19th at 1:00 p.m. Also don't forget the tailgate in the East Plaza of the Constant Center before tip-off. The tailgate begins at 12:30 p.m. and is free to the first 500 students and five dollars for the general public.
NOTE: The Lady Monarchs' game at Virginia Tech has moved tip time from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to accommodate the Hokies hosting the second round of the NCAA men's soccer tournament.
