NORFOLK - The Old Dominion University Lady Monarch women's basketball team, the Lady Monarch Pride booster organization and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Tidewater Affiliate, will team to raise funds for breast cancer research and ODU women's basketball scholarships on Friday, Oct. 15 with a TGIF social at Town Center in Virginia Beach.
Sponsored by the law firm of Troutman Sanders and presented by Alltel and the Hilton Garden Inn, the event will be held outdoors from 5-7:30 p.m. on the grounds of the Hilton Garden Inn Virginia Beach Town Center, located at 252 Town Center Drive in Virginia Beach. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the event and include adult beverages, refreshments, a variety of food donated by Town Center and Virginia Beach restaurants, and live music by Sweet Justice. Participating restaurants include Cold Stone Creamery, Max & Erma's, Macaroni Grill, d'Musturd, and Chick-fil-A. A silent auction will also be held in conjunction with the event.
The Lady Monarch team members will be introduced at the TGIF social. Tickets may be purchased in person at the Hilton Garden Inn Virginia Beach Town Center, or by calling the ODU athletic ticket office at 683-5484.
