NORFOLK, VA -The #4-ranked Old Dominion men's soccer team will participate in the William & Mary Nike Classic this weekend, at Albert-Daly Field. The Monarchs will face American University Friday evening at 4:30, before taking on Hartwick Sunday at noon. ODU has a 5-0-0 record and are fresh off a 3-2 win over North Carolina.

The Monarchs are 11-7-3 all-time against the American Eagles, winning six straight. ODU defeated the Eagles 1-0 in the 2003 edition of the Stihl Soccer Classic. American has a 4-3-0 record, last defeating Cornell 3-0 last Sunday. Senior midfielder Shawn Kuyendall leads the Eagles with nine points so far this season, coming off three goals and three assists.
ODU will meet Hartwick for the first time since the 1983 season. The Monarchs are 1-1-1 all-time against Hawks, dropping a 5-1 decision in 1983. The Hawks are 3-1-2, coming off a 2-0 victory at Yale. Senior forward/midfielder Edwin Ruiz leads the team with seven points (2 goals, 3 assists).
Host William & Mary boasts a 5-1-1 overall record, and defeated #1 Maryland 1-0 in double-overtime Wednesday night in Williamsburg.
