NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion women's basketball team enters its exhibition game tonight against the Netherlands National Team receiving votes in the Preseason USA Today/ESPN/WBCA Poll. The Lady Monarchs tip-off at 7:00 p.m. tonight at the Ted Constant Convocation Center.
The Lady Monarchs, who finished the 2003-04 campaign with a 25-7 overall mark and its 13th straight CAA title, received 34 votes from the board of 40 head coaches.
Six Lady Monarch opponents are featured in the poll included preseason No.1 Tennessee, No. 12 North Carolina, No. 17 Rutgers, and No. 21 Penn State. Virginia Tech and Virginia are also receiving votes along with Old Dominion.
