Robin Smith helped lead Old Dominion to three straight NCAA national championships in the early 1990s and was a three-time NCAA All-Tournament selection. During her four years here, the Lady Monarchs compiled a 98-4-1 record. She scored 21 goals as a senior and was the 1992 CAA Tournament MVP. Smith completed her career with 66 goals and 150 total points. She was a member of the U.S. National field hockey team from 1990-92. Smith graduated in 1993 with a degree in business management.

She served as a part-time assistant coach with the Lady Monarchs this past season and currently works for Towne Bank in Portsmouth.
