KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Old Dominion men’s soccer’s Lewis Rourke has been named to the 2026 Hermann Trophy Midseason Watch List, the United Soccer Coaches announced on Friday. The watch list highlights the top 30 men’s soccer players in Division I.
The Hermann Trophy is presented annually by the Missouri Athletic Club and is the nation’s highest individual honor recognizing the National Player of the Year as determined by voting of Division I head coaches who are members of United Soccer Coaches.
Rourke leads the Monarchs in points (15), goals (6), and is tied for first in assists (3). The Nottingham, England native is tied for 16th in the country in total points (15) and tied for 20th in goals (6). Rourke’s six goals, 15 points, and 1.88 points per game are second best in the Sun Belt. The Nottingham, England native has provided three assists and averages 1.5 shots on goal per game to rank third and fourth best, respectively
Rourke earned Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week on September 8 after the Monarchs went 2-0 over the week. The Silver and Blue dispatched Radford, 7-1 on Monday night and defeated Bucknell, 3-0 on Sunday afternoon. Rourke scored a goal and provided two assists against the Highlanders and notched another goal against the Bison.
The fourth year forward also earned a selection to the Preseason All-Sun Belt Team after a 10-goal, three-assist, and 23-point campaign. He averaged 1.28 points per game and took 36 shots. He registered 21 of his shots on goal (58.3%) and scored one game-winning goal.
The 2026 midseason watch list was compiled by members of the Hermann Trophy Midseason Watch List Committee. A total of 15 players will be named 2026 Hermann Trophy semifinalists on December 4 at the conclusion of NCAA Division I All-American voting. From that list, head coaches will cast votes, and three players will be named finalists. The 2026 recipient will be announced January 8, 2027, in a ceremony at the historic Missouri Athletic Club in downtown St. Louis, Mo.
